MORE ABOUT ME
I GREW UP IN A FAMILY OF ENTREPRENEURS.
My dad owned the most prestigious dry cleaners in our hometown and my uncle owned the most well-known funeral home. Later both expanded to have multiple locations.
When I was 12, I wanted to spend more time with my dad and he suggested I start working with him every other Saturday. Once, during a friend’s birthday sleepover, my dad picked me up at 9pm because the next day was my Saturday to work. It taught me the responsibility and work ethic I have today.
My mom, a speech and language pathologist, wanted to serve her patients better, and she saw that opening her own business was the only way. However, she did not have the entrepreneurial mindset that my dad and I did. Her passion was helping children to speak. It was then that I saw the need to help others. Creating an avenue to do so is near and dear to my heart as I have lost both the entrepreneur and the practitioner that shaped me into the person I am today.
